New Eyeglasses from 39DollarGlasses.com

Got a new pair of lightweight eyeglasses and (I think) I like ‘em. I’m not too fond of wearing glasses in the first place, which is why I usually wear contactsk, but these glasses aren’t bad.  Besides, I need to give my eyes a rest now and then.

These glasses were from 39DollarGlasses.com, and no, I didn’t spend $39, though I could have.  They really do have a good selection of frames that are only $39.  In fact, the frame I chose was one of the $39 ones, but with my high prescription (-4.75/-5.00), I opted to pay extra for the higher index, thinner lenses and then more for the anti-glare coating.  At the end, with shipping, I paid about $100, which is a steal!

The eyeglasses came very nicely packaged, wrapped in a microfiber bag that was inside an attractive and surprisngly high quality hard case emobssed with the 39DollarGlasses.com logo. The glasses themselves look and feel like a much more expensive pair.  They’re quite light and comfortable.  My only issue (my fault) is that I used an old prescription and I think my eyes have changed since then. :-(  Sadly, it seems like my vision has gotten slightly worse and I probably should have gone in for an updated prescription before I placed my order.

Live and learn.

  • They feel pretty good, light and comfortable. My temples are very sensitive to even the slightest pressure; I can't even wear simple cotton headbands without getting a headache after 15 minutes. No problems with these so far! (Y)
