Aluminum Train Case for Makeup Organization

My new train case is HUGE!

My new train case is HUGE!

As I’ve said (numerous) times before, I’m a slob. Strangely, I also love organization and modular design. I really like it when things are labeled, color and size coordinated, and arranged symmetrically with a nice aesthetic balance. I’m just too lazy to do that myself.

For years now, I have been trying to organize my large makeup collection. I bought a quilted train case by Travelon a year ago, but it was too small and my makeup just ended up everywhere. Then I bought small plastic bins for the cabinet in the bathroom, but I was none too good about keeping that neat (as you’ll see in the picture below). So I finally gave in and bought myself one of those professional aluminum train cases, and boy is it big! They can get pretty pricey, so I ordered it on eBay. I used “Buy it Now” on Monday and received my train case on Thursday. How awesome is that?

So I grabbed up all my cosmetics, most of which were stuffed into the cabinet and some of which were strewn about bathroom countertops and hiding out in purses. And like I always am when it comes to cleaning up and organizing, I spent a disturbingly long time getting it sorted just the way I wanted.

Now the question is, how long will I keep it that way?

Lots of space and adjustable dividers.

Uh, what a mess.

Uh, what a mess.

I use about 3 - 4 of these items 2 - 3 times a month.

Yay! All organized, let's keep it that way.

I did a lot of research and eBay really does have the best prices on these aluminum train cases. I didn’t realize that they could get so expensive? Click this link to see all train cases on sale right now on eBay.

  • Not only good for make-up, the over-all concept of the bag is also nice for food storage.
