A Little Thing Called the Oscars

Walked down the street to see a movie this morning.  We saw Taken which is basically what you’d expect: high-energy, fast-paced action movie with little substance.  There’s really nothing to think about or take in after seeing it.

Afterwards, we walked a couple blocks and ate at the new Mexican grill Loteria and took in the hubbub being created by the Oscars.  There were cops everywhere and people all trying to get close to the red carpet.  We walked a little bit to check it out, but it just got way too crowded and annoying the closer we got.  I took a few snapshots before heading back home to enjoy the action from home.

Surrounded by cops at a checkpoint near where I was having lunch.

A few people lined up along Hollywood Blvd.

There was actually a lot more people crowded near the red carpet.

Lots of cops, dogs and bomb squad crew out and about.

I didnt try to get closer than this because there were too many people.

Not very exciting, is it?
