I agree completely with what you're saying. Everyone's body will respond differently. There are people who eat like me and end up FAT and I'm lucky that my own body and metabolism handles my diet well. The scientific principles he mentioned though, unless you have some sort of disease or defect, do apply to all of us. We break down simple carbs and sugars quickly for energy, and if that isn't used, it will get stored as fat. So unless it's before a workout, going out dancing, playing basketball, going hiking, or something else active, I think most people who just drive to the office and drive back home are better off eating way less simple carbs and sugars and focus on protein, fiber and good fats.

However, for people like us who are up and walking everywhere and working out, our diets can be much looser. :-D Give me more white rice!

Sure, while alot of the definitions and explantions Mike Furci gives are true, It's just his opinion and what has worked for him..I've read thousands of these things, and while they all have the correct defs and ex's they all have different theories on what works...after reading many, many of these, it all comes down to which foods have which effect on "you!"...just like not everyone benefits from the same workout, ..learn your own body and what affects it..Opinions from guys like Mike are endless!
