Happy Birthday to Me!

Okay, it’s not my birthday, but it was back in May when one of my sisters gave me a $50 gift certificate to UncommonGoods.com.  I really like that site, and as the name suggests, they have a lot of really unique and interesting items.

I had forgotten about the GC until last night.  It was perfect timing because I was in a shopping mood, and after over an hour browsing their catalog and changing my mind a million times, I decided upon this:

Catherine Weitzman Petal Necklace

Catherine Weitzman Petal Necklace

That photo is from the artist’s website, who sells the 18kt gold vermeil necklace for $85.  UncommonGoods normally sells it for $60 but it’s currently on sale for just $39.99.  After going back and forth on several items (I did not want to go over $50 shipped), I decided on this necklace because I don’t have enough gold jewelry and I really like the way gold looks against my skin.  Also, it’s rather pretty, isn’t it? Here are a few other items I considered:

Sketch a Pet

Sketch-a-Pet Dog & Cat Necklaces (sold separately)

Recycled Sterling Silver Diamonds

Recycled Sterling Silver "Diamond" Studs

Honestly, there were so many gorgeous pieces of jewelery on that site, but most were out of my price range like this beautiful cat pin:

Got My Eye on You

Got My Eye on You Cat's Eye Pin

Maybe one day!
