Roar growl grrr!

Christmas is fast approaching and I’m quite excited.  I don’t care at all about receiving gifts but I love giving presents. From wrapping paper to bows, gift tags and the element of surprise, I simply love giving my loved ones gifts on Christmas.  This includes the dogs; I make sure to give them a special toy or two on Christmas.

Not that they need any. Jesse is at the age where she no longer cares much for toys, but Penny still likes to play often. They already have a ton of toys.  Tim’s mom usually sends them each something for Christmas, and I buy Penny something new every so often.  Penny’s favorite toy is a simple, plain tennis ball, though I’m always looking for something a bit more durable.  She also loves stuffed animals but she goes through those very quickly.

I haven’t picked up anything for them yet this year.  Perhaps I’ll just get something edible this time around. They’re already spoiled enough as is.

My dogs looked too cute sleeping together on the couch tonight, I had to snap a few pictures.  Penny was the only one actually sleeping, though she did wake up for a second.

I love watching my dogs sleep. They look so innocent and blissful. Here are just a few of the many (many!) snapshots I’ve taken of them napping during different times.

Penny always tries to sleep next to Jesse, and if she’s lucky, Jesse will tolerate it. This was at night so it’s a bit dark and me moving around woke Penny up.

An afternoon nap with our toss pillows. They love pillows and seem to always find one to sleep on.

The following set is from today when I found Penny sleeping in an odd position by herself on the couch.

I realized that I don’t have nearly enough pictures of Jesse on here.  It’s not that I don’t have any; it’s just that Jesse, with her black shiny fur, doesn’t take very good pictures.  She ends up being too dark or reflecting all the light and losing any depth.
